On March 8th, people around the world will celebrate International Women’s Day. It’s time to pay tribute to all women — our role models, mothers, sisters, daughters, friends and colleagues. 

It’s a time to celebrate the achievements of women, recognise how far we’ve come towards gender equality, and also how far we have to go. Some of the small ways we are recognising IWD here at the Loftus Recreation Centre is by hosting a Morning Tea, creating a Pledge Wall, sharing some photos with these Selfie Cards across our socials and even something as simple as wearing a bit of PURPLE.
