The Loftus Recreation Center is Re-Opening!
This week, the WA Government put in place eased restrictions in the fight against COVID-19.
Included in the new restrictions there are allowances for:
- non-contact community sports up to 20 people
- indoor fitness classes with minimal shared equipment, up to 20 participants
The WA Government has also put in place a Roadmap for restrictions to be eased even further should positive trends continue. Loftus has completed the mandatory WA Sport and Recreation COVID Safety Plan to ensure compliance and to keep our staff and all our members and patrons as safe as possible. More information via the link below.
Read on to see how you will now be able to return to Loftus for Indoor Group Fitness, Coaching Zone sessions and court or room bookings for non-contact community sport and leisure.

Our WA Roadmap Phase 2 timetable of Indoor Group Fitness Classes is now available for all members and non-members! This could not come at a better time with the rain forecast for next week. Thanks to all those who were able to join us in the outdoor group fitness sessions, which will conclude on Saturday 23rd of May. It was great to see familiar faces training and having fun together! (ANY PRE-PAID OUTDOOR CLASSES WILL BE CREDITED TOWARDS INDOOR CLASS BOOKINGS).

We can't wait to get back into the Zone, with some restrictions in place.

Loftus Change Room Refurbishment Project
While you've been gone, we've been working with the City of Vincent on ways to improve your enjoyment of Loftus when you return!
We're excited to announce that this week, works have started on a project to renew the change room facilities opposite Gymnastics WA. The works are being undertaken on both the male and female facilities, in order to renew and also improve wheelchair accessibility.
Works include: re-tiling, new vanities, benches, toilets, showers and the installation of a new UAT (Universal Access Toilet) for improved wheelchair and carer accessibility.
That's all from us for now. Please follow us on social media for more regular updates, and be sure to email us if you have any questions.
On behalf of all of the team at Loftus, we wish you all the best in health, and look forward to seeing you again soon!
